The Classify Of Heavy Trucks

- Mar 29, 2018-

Since 2005, China will implement a new statistical classification of models in the automotive industry. This classification is the first major reform of China's auto industry in the statistical classification of vehicles, but also to meet the needs of international integration after entering the WTO, and has far-reaching implications for the future development of the automotive industry.

First look at the relevant situation of the old classification. The old classification was formulated in accordance with GB/T 3730.1-88 in 1988 and is divided into three major categories, namely, trucks, passenger cars and sedans. Various categories have been sub-categorized according to different classification criteria, specifically:

Trucks are divided into (according to the total mass): 1. Heavy-duty trucks (total mass> 14 tons); 2. Medium-duty trucks (6 tons <total mass <14 tons); 3. Light-duty trucks ( 1.8 tons <total mass ≤ 6 tons); 4. Miniature trucks (total mass ≤ 1.8 tons).

The new vehicle statistical classification is based on the two national standards of GB/T 3730.1-2001 and GB/T15089-2001, combined with the development of China's auto industry. Its large classification is basically consistent with the internationally popular title and is divided into two categories: passenger cars and commercial vehicles. As there is no uniform standard for subdivision of models in various countries, subcategories for passenger cars and commercial vehicles are classified. It is divided according to its own characteristics. The new classification is described as follows:

Compared with the old classification, passenger cars cover passenger cars, minivans and light passenger cars with no more than 9 seats, while trucks and more than 9 passenger cars do not belong to passenger cars. There is a special case in which we consider that some vehicles, such as the Jinbei Sea Lion, have more than 9 vehicles and 9 or less in the same length. In actual statistics, the vehicles are classified as commercial vehicles and are interpreted by the following commercial vehicles. No longer repeat the narrative.
